Hashmi asks Nawaz to apologize

Central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Javed Hashmi has said that he had asked Nawaz Sharif many times to apologize to the nation for making a deal with General Parvez Musharraf to flee to Saudi Arabia.

He blamed Nawaz Sharif for his ill treatment after Nawaz's escape to Saudi Arabia after he was removed from the office of the Prime Minister. “Nawaz Sharif is not worth relying on by any member of his party”, Hashmi said.

Hashmi, speaking in Multan on Friday said that he had been disappointed with the Punjab government, which, despite innumerable requests, denied giving him the funds meant for his constituency. These funds, Hashmi said were instead directed to other constituencies. “The people of my constituency blamed me and suspected my loyalty towards them,” Hashmi lamented.

The PTI leader from Multan said that his former party the PML-N, today talked about Aafia Siddiqui but was silent when Aimal Kaansi had been handed over to Americans. “It's me who had raised the voice for Aafia's rights”, Hashmi said.
